The Porsche 914 or VW-Porsche 914 is a mid-engined, targa-topped two-seater roadster designed sports car manufactured and marketed collaboratively by Volkswagen and Porsche from 1969 to 1976. Porsche’s 914-6 variant featured a 6 cylinder engine and some other modifications. This Porsche 914-6 is a great example of body/paint work performed at PCC. The 1971 Porsche 914-6 came to Pete’s Custom Coachbuilding for complete body/paint work.
After taking the body back to bare metal and performing the necessary repairs, PCC paint technicians provided a sleek paint job on the Porsche 914 to the owner’s specifications. As with all shop projects, the team enjoyed making sure all the little details came together to make this vehicle look incredible. The vehicle was assembled by shop technicians taking special care on door gaps and seal placements.
Just over 3,000 of the 914-6 variants were ever made. PCC has always had a special interest in all Porsche models and were excited to have this unique model inside the shop.
